Anna Mallett - Chief Operating Officer, BBC Studios
Anna Mallett is the Chief Operating Officer for BBC Studios, and is responsible for the overall business and operational leadership, promoting creative excellence and commercial strength, as well as efficiency and simplicity.
She led the overall programme to move BBC Studios from a public service division to a commercial company within the BBC Group, able to make programmes for other broadcasters in the UK and around the world.
Anna was previously CEO of BBC Studios and Post Production Ltd, a commercial subsidiary of the BBC offering outstanding studios, post production and digital media services to the media industry. Prior to this she was Controller of Business Strategy, responsible for the BBC's overall commercial strategy. She also developed the BBC's distribution strategy, ensuring the continuing accessibility and prominence of BBC content.
Before joining the BBC Anna worked for seven years at The Boston Consulting Group in London, focusing on media and retail.
Anna sits on the BBC Studios Board and the BBC Studios Executive Committee and she chairs the BBC Studios Operations and Risk Group. She is also a member of the BBC's wider Leadership Group.
