As Director, Commercial Operating Model, Helen Cooper overees the strategy for the structures and processes of BBC Studios, ensuring the business operates efficiently and effectively and is delivering against its ambitious growth plans.

Prior to her appointment, Helen was Interim HR Director for BBC Studios where she oversaw all HR activity to support the business strategy and Chair of the BBC Studios Pay Committee. Before this, she was SVP, Human Resources, for BBC Studios’ Global Media & Streaming and Global News divisions, setting the people & HR strategy across UK/EMEA, North America & Latin America, and APAC.

She first joined BBC Studios in June 2011 as a Global Resourcing Manager and has since held a number of key leadership roles. She most recently served as Head of HR, BBC Studios Productions, overseeing the people strategy across seven UK TV production bases producing premium drama, comedy, factual, natural history, science, and formats.
